Born in Baghdad, a graduate of Al-Mustansiriya University, she
also graduated from the Institute of Folklore / Department of
Ceramics, and completed a course in graphic art in Sweden, the
owner of a sohar gallery until 2005, after which she moved to
Jordan. She developed her talent for self-drawing as well as by
participating in training courses. Whether inside or outside

فنان من بلادي
سهير السلمان / فنانة تشكيلية عراقية مقيمة في الاردن....
ولدت في بغداد ، خريجة الجامعة المستنصرية ،كذلك تخرجت من
المعهد التراث الشعبي / قسم السيراميك ، وأكملت دورة في فن
الجرافيك في السويد ،صاحبة كاليري سهر حتى عام 2005 حيث انتقلت
بعدها إلى الأردن، طورت موهبتها في الرسم ذاتيا وكذلك من خلال
الاشتراك في دورات تدريب سواء داخل أو خارج العراق وبهذا وجدت لها
موقعا رحبا في صفوف الحركة التشكيلية العراقية الحديثة ...
اشتركت في معارض محلية واقليمية ودولية وحصلت على جوائز عديدة،كذلك
عملت في الصحافة ، بجريده الدستور العراقيه وحمورابي وقدمت الكثير
من اللقاءات الفنيه مع فنانين عراقيين ...
تتسم فرشاتها بالتعبير العميق عن الحياة ،ويشغلها كثيرا هّم الجسد
الإنساني ، في لوحاتها تقنيات وخطوط منضبطة وألوان سابحة ومضيئة في
واقع حياة بلد مر بظروف صعبة واستثنائية، رغم ذلك تنقلنا اعمالها
لعالم الإرادة والقوة والأمل وحق البقاء وقدرة البشر على تنفس هواء
الحب ...
باختصار تنتصر اعمالها للإنسان رغم ما يحيطه من التباسات وقهر وظلم
وحروب ...
تقول ( انا بنت الحداثة ، كوني أعي جيدا كيف افكك رموزها بشغف
وبعشق لا نهاية له لفن التشكيل ) ، رغم ذلك لا تلغي ارتباطها بفن
الرواد وبشكل خاص الكبير فائق حسن ...
